During traveling, the most common souvenirs to bring house are those unique and enable to jog your memory after the trip. However, there is something just not feasible to be souvenirs.
The Evil Eye
It is one the famous souvenirs to be purchased in Turkey, also known as Blue Eye. The Evil Eye is a witchcraft that originates from Middle East Gipsy. Put it at home or wear it can siphon other people’s evilness and jealousy. Hence, those who wear it must change the evil eye frequently as when the eye itself has enough evil energy, it will harm people.
The Hawaii’s Sand
This I believe most people know about. The Tourism Board of Hawaii has prohibits tourists to take any sand or rock from where it belongs. Most people thought this measure is for caring the environment and indeed it is one of the reasons. However, those tourists whose take the rocks or sand eventually return them to Hawaii. Some experiences minor disaster such as fire in the house or some face accidents or deaths. One of the explanations is the curse of the rocks and sand by Hawaiian’s deity or goddess.
Scottish’s rock
Another rock that are not supposed to bring home comes from Scotland. As we know, Scotland had been invaded for many times during her history and the warriors cursed the land before met their doom. Therefore, those rocks are clouding with mishap energy which will bring misfortune to those who takes it.
The Tibetan’s Dzi
One of the most fascinating mineral is Dzi. It is a bead which formed by Jade and Agate. Dzi is precious in the eyes of Tibetan. As I know, lands can be traced for a Dzi. However, Tibetan worships Dzi which the genuine Dzi is hard to find.
Tourists love to buy this beautiful Dzi in Nepal or Tibet. However, the fake Dzi probably made of the bones or skulls of the slaves by the shamans. The bowl could be the skull while the trinket might be the pelvis. People said if tourist purchases this fake Dzi, it is easy to summon the spirit.
Japanese Traditional Doll
When travel to Japan, a lot of dolls are put outside the temple. According to the Japanese belief, those dolls have spirit and they are not to be taken as souvenirs. They believe those dolls should not be disturbed. Hence, Japanese usually don’t buy any doll at the flea market. Spooky is the word about this souvenir.

Egyptian Bastet Stature
Egyptian mythology and religion worshipped the cat deity known as Bastet. Bastet is the god of the underworld and treasured by the pharaohs. When the pharaoh deceased, the cat is mummified to perform its duty in the underworld. This black stature is said to be the most cursed. The Egyptian Curse is famous for whoever disturbs the pharaoh and the curse will cast upon those. You might consider this before include it in your souvenir list.
Romanian’s log
Romania, home of the Dracula, so the logs in the forest are said to be used as the weapon to kill the vampire and warewolf and therefore it is highly attracts this evil energy.
